Default Flash Gels

I've recently bought a speedlite and I am trying to get some gels to correct for tungsten and florescent light.
Does anyone know where on the net I can order some? No one in Albany stocks them.

as weird as it sounds you can get flash gels from places that do lighting for theater productions etc.

Dave, Roscolux used to do completely free sample books, but it seems they have added a small fee for shipping nowadays...the swatch samples are a perfect size for the speedlight and its easy enough to DIY up a holder for the gels. Link

B&H sometimes carry the swatchbooks in stock and only charge $0.01 plus shipping. Link

There are other places that also do swatch samples, Lee Filters used to do one but I wasnt able to find the page on the site. Perhaps they no longer do it....just do a search for it and try your luck pestering companies.

I'll try to get my shite together and put up a DIY for the gel holder at some point soon.

I ended up paying for some from Flashgels.co.uk

Cost me about $40 delivered for the colour correction pack and effects pack (5cm).
It included velcro and they fit, although a bit wider than the flash, should have got the 4cm ones but thought better if they are bigger than smaller.

The Lee Filter sample packs fit pretty much perfect and are free man. I got around 200 filters in mine including lighting correction and diffusers. Just email http://www.leefilters.com/ and ask them for a sample pack. Mine did take a month or so to arrive though.
