here are my thoughts on 5d mkII:

- it's not as forgiving as 400d was, easier to get it wrong but if you get it right the results are way better.

- love the 3 custom programs mkII offers.

- shame you can re-assign all the buttons...the pictrure style button will never be used since i shoot raw

- still having some trouble in getting the exposure + focus spot on. Exposure tends to be bit overexposed and focus problems occur when using f2.8...hard to hit the target. Btw what metering modes do you guys use most of the time (obviously it depends on the situation but mostly), I tend to use centre weighted metering + centre point focus with two seperate buttons, one for measuring and locking the exposure and the other for the focus.

- videos....great but i'll never use it

- the LCD screen is superb, nice and crisp...very sharp

- photos taken with ISO3200 don't appear to have much noise if any at all...

- it lets lots more light thru, tested with mates 450d, same lens, settings etc...around 1 to 1.5 stops more light the full sensor gets, combine that with the usable ISO and i'm probably 3 to 3.5 stops better off
