In-car camera mount query
Hey folks,
I'm trying to find out if there is some way of mounting my Canon 5D Mk II so I can shoot video as I drive. Initially I'm looking at using it on road trips, but at some point in the future I'd like to start doing track days; so I imagine the system would need to be able to withstand a decent amount of g-force. I'm looking for a setup that will allow me to have the camera positioned centrally looking out between the two front seats. Given the weight of the camera and lens, I was wondering if anyone knows of a floor to ceiling setup, possibly with a steadicam-type arm so the camera doesn't end up shaking during filming? Obviously some sort of tethering would be needed to ensure the camera doesn't go flying if it somehow detached from the rig. Feel free to make any suggestions. Cheers, rjb |
