What are these horror stories with the 24-105?

I was looking at that more than the 24-70, as it comes with IS which would be handy for panning shots...

The horror stories relate to numerous bad copies, and problems with the data ribbon protruding from the housing. You can read about people's issues here, here and here.

The 24-70 2.8L seems more reliable, and matches perfectly with a 70-200mm L if you've got one/plan on getting one.

The only issue I have with it is that I can't consistently get the focus right in panned shots when on AF, but when I pre-focus in MF it it pin sharp every time...which I think might be to do with my 600D's slow AF rather than the lens itself. Other than that it is a beautiful lens, and it stays on my camera all the time!

Just saying. Went to thread to see a massive array of pictures from the 2011 Targa West, and found it was more a discussion thread than a picture thread.

And I went to your website expecting to see images of your spec c strip and build.... nothin but TEXT!
