Corbz, do/did you use a grad filter to get the even exposure from top to bottom/sky to foreground?
To properly expose the foreground in situations like this, I often end up with a way over exposed sky (Not entirely, but a lot of hot spots)

Nah bro, no filter use at all.

Canon 5Dmk II
Canon 16-35 f/2.8L

AEB 3 shots... merged in Photomatix the PP in CS5. I like to keep my HDR's subtle.

Extremely subtle. At first glance I didn't even notice. Now that I look at the rocks, it's a little more obvious.
