I'm not too sure if its the desired effect, but the Evo in your pics Ryan, looks like it's painted onto real backgrounds. Kinda like the car is cel shaded to a degree

The car is actually straight out of camera, no tweaks in Photoshop at all. The background is fairly heavily tweaked though.
