Hoping to buy a drift r/c car in the next few weeks, i have been looking at the

'R/C Traxxas 1/16 Ken Block Ford Fiesta Brushless Drift Car'

due to this will be my first rc car, does anyone know if this is a decent car and will i be able to change the 'shell' and upgrade bits and pieces?

i knew i should of bought an r/c car over an r/c helicopter spent too much on replacement parts (due to me and gf having huge crashes) and still couldnt fly it..lol

Its an awesome car and when you purchase the 2nd battery the thing fkn flies! Awesome fun but just remember that it cant be modded like the TT-01's can.

1/16 will be hard to get shells given that the common RC Car size is 1/10 for Electric. Why not just get a TT01 for starters, learn to drive it, theres a million shells around you can customize too.

Like, Ive learned to drive mine a bit now, I have made my own Nissan Z, just did my first upgrade which was the propellor shaft.

They have a really good deal on every single TT01 custom part you can get at the moment, but I dont want it. I figure that seeing as I am learning, and this is a new hobby for me, why upgrade the entire thing in one hit. Would be more fun to do it bit by bit and experience how every change affects the car.

But yeah TT01 is awesome in my opinion. Im about to buy my Nissan Silvia shell, I have bought cosmetic parts which include Wipers, Wing Mirrors, Intercooler, Exhausts, and Brake Discs.

Going to be fun to build that one!

The carbon one is a Tamiya 416TRF and the plastic one is an OTA Streetjam.
