Default Perth-WRX RC Drifters Thread

Hi Guys!

Mitchwnz has gotten me into this apparent RC Car craze thats sweeping the local car clubs (And I know Phil,Jess,Dave T, and Dave F have cars too). I did a quick search but didnt really find any sort of concrete thread about it.

So, if you have an/some RC Cars, post up here! Lets get a list going of who, what cars you have, maybe even some pictures of them. Do you have any modifications?

Lets get a larger group together on sundays for some racing! I know it was mentioned elsewhere but perhaps now we can actually organise something bigger. It would be great to meet somewhere and have some lunch and then take our cars for a run

Ill go first:

I have a Tamiya TT01-ES, no modifications yet. Expert Built starter kit. My shells are an RX7 FD3S in Red, and I made my first custom one, a Purple Nissan 350Z. My frequency is Channel 1 AM 26.995Mhz.

I've got an old HPI Sprint 2 chassis, belt driven electric 4WD. Has a bunky Evo 7 shell on it from an old HBX/Tamiya car. No pics but I used to mess around with it at cruise meets in 2007-2008 until I busted the rear belt and it was FWD spec for ages haha

I had been thinking of dusting of my drift spec parts and slapping on my Mod tourer.
I would be keen on a bit of a get together and drift/hack session though.

This is my X-ray T2 Mod tourer with 6.5 turn orion brushless and Tekin RS Pro

I've only just got in to RC Drifting with my TT-01 Type E since I purchased a ready built car.. here are some shots of my two cars with various shells.

The First one is a TT-01 with a Hobbywing Easyrun brushless motor.. good for about 50-60kmph.. have loads of hop up parts/mods on this one. It has adjustable suspension, super grippy slick tyres, sway bars, adjustable toe in and camber etc etc.

The second is a ready built TT-01E.. I've upgraded the motor and drive shaft, apart from that it's stock.

My Most recent Edition (shell)

Yep on your Recommendation - I use a combo of Meguires and AutoGlym

I use the Autoglym polish on my models too!

I used to be into Petrol RC cars, still have my Kyosho FW05T, altho it needs a new second gear cog. Currently have the Peanut Eye Rex WRC shell on it but also have S15 and R34 GTR shells to suit.

Also have and RC boat and Helicopter, but they arent anything special.

Currently looking at an electric drift RC car but i cant make up mind which one to purchase?!?!
