Yeah it does, but its not a 1:1 return on investment on cars.

My paint panel wheels and interior cost me more than the car did, and I wouldnt get it back.

You will never get remotely close to what you spend on a car when you try to sell it, even if it is an internet sensation.. Its why people chose to part them out.

My engine alone is worth more than what I'd be able to sell the completed car for.
