i'm pretty sure you would need to change the rear bumper to 03-05 ones

You can fit them on a bug.. just sticks out a little, remove the foam strip under the semi circle and it will fit even nicer.

(Don't try cut a stock bug bumper to fit 03/4 lights! it wont work!)
