GC8 springs on MY05 wrx? will they fit?

Going up north for a coupla years (karratha) and have low/HARD springs on our my05.
a mate has a set of less low and less hard springs (pedders I think) from his 2000 model. dya reckon they will fit?

timing belt service - do I need to 90k ks

In the Book it says major service needs to do the timing belt.

I was going to do this myself - but the priced the belt up and it comes in 2 kits - belt and seals etc one with hydraulic...

Hi all,
Pickup up the wife's new car tomorrow - cant wait.

MY05 WRX manual, not a scratch on it.
no serious mods yet, apart from exhaust, and lowered suspension with king springs.
