Depends on tyre manufacturer. Stock 245 dunflops on my OEM 8.5 rims looked slightly stretched.

Yok AD08's at 245 have vertical sidewalls and look chunky on my rims.

8.5's will easily take a 245 width tyre as standard on G3 sti's. Is yours a 2010/11 wide body or narrow body wrx?
