Yeh. It should he printed in the spring how many pound it is. But If you get new springs with a lower weight you have to make sure they have equal or more stroke of the shock otherwise it will bind...

Correct me if im wrong, but Im pretty sure the damping knob on top adjusts the rebound. More damping, the slower the coilover returns to full stroke. You will have to adjust the spring rate to get it...
