So a couple days on and really happy with the engine. Definitely a lot smoother, doesn't even move at idle whereas before would shake a little in the bay. Hasn't missed a beat and I'm just starting...

Well all sorted and now running!

Lesson for beginners. Mark injectors 2/4 and cam sensor as all plugs are the same. Had cam sensor plug on injector.

Rechecked the timing as I thought it was out. Was spot on, cam and crank sensors changed, put a pulse on the injector and that lit up so sensors are definitely...

Yeah when it squished it showed we had too much although we tried to be light lol won't hurt ;)

No I'd have to say that isn't true. We used it for holding gaskets in place, facing sealant etc on...

Update :) Took the engine out last weekend....

Update :)

Took the engine out last weekend. Today I took the intake off, marked all the leads, turbo off, alternator, plugged all the holes ready for a degrease tomorrow night.

Also ordered...

Hey guys,

I'm pulling the engine out of my 99 GC8 next week to fix the right hand cylinder head.

While it's out i'll also do timing belt and rear crank seal and more than likely freshen up...
