Default Speedo under reading

Hey guys,

I now have different ratio gears and diff so my speedo under reads by about 10km an hour. Nick at ASG said the 2 options for adjusting it are taking the gear box appart and replacing something (I wont even consider that costly suggestion) or having the electronics adjusted somehow. Obviously the electronics options seems much preferable. Anyone know where I can get this done? Nick said there is somewhere in Osborne Park but couldnt remember the name.

Thanks,

Just remember to go 70 in a 60 zone and 120 in a 110 zone easy fix.

Not sure of the name of the shop though

Heh... get a Stack cluster
But seriously this might have to be a dodge job by someone, playing with the speedo and hence tacho is kinda frowned on despite your good intentions. Just remember for now though that the difference wont be a straight 10km/hr, its a percentage and hence will vary according to your speed.

One of the reasons I love my GC8 JDM cable drive setup It's always spot on no matter what ratios I run.

You can get kits (Jaycar) for adjusting speedos (would I use one, dunno), or you can get a good gear calculation program from the web, punch in your ratios and drive by tacho (the tach will always be right) or you could consult the yellow pages for instrument service companies that fix speedos.

option 3, get some new tyres with reduced rolling diameter (lower profile tyres)
