Agreed with both this statement and that made by Jimmy.

I really just wanted to see what peoples responses were as it was going to get a tune 'regardless of what I was told, and regardless of the cams/turbo that would have forced a tune anyway'.

No need to go straight out for a tune imo.

I would go to a workshop with a dyno and do a power/afr run. If that shows up all good, you are good to go. If it shows a stupid lean/rich etc then you can go get the tune.

Should be ~$100 if that. Places with a roller dyno would be the best (cheaper for them to do the run), like XSpeed in the SoR ghetto or anyone else.

It should be fine, even the tuned by STi Lib's are just 205's/255's. I don't think the internals would be different. But like said above, a quick dyno run to check the health of the engine would be a good idea, Japanese are notoriously bad at maintenance.

Maximum Motor Sports...MMS Malaga, they have diagnostics computer & in house roller dyno.
