^^^. Interesting idea. I met with a guy today and had a chat. He wants to keep the ip and will not sign a non competition agreement. Basically they do the design work here then ship it off to india to get the programming done. Seems like a logical way to do it.

Given i dont have the skill set etc to update and sell the app down the track it may be the best way to go. They were ot opposed to a jv which may be anoer viable option. I have a meeting with another firm net week so i will see what their ideas are.

Similar to what my mate does, except he ships it to East Europe.

Eastern Europe over India. Have not had a result out of India yet after 2 failed attempts (I think it's a cultural thing as they all want to be managers) but guys I use from Romania have always delivered.

Telstra have recently entered into some sort of commercial relationship with Mobile Business Apps and Forms - iPhone, iPad, Android, BlackBerry, BlackBerry PlayBook, Windows Mobile

They gave me a presentation today and seems to be an alright setup. Anyone had any experience with these guys?

The other mob that I am talking to wants me to pay for them to design and develop the app and then they retain all of the IP and also will not sign a non competition agreement. They are coming back in this week to discuss their fees so lets see how much they want to charge.

I'm going to watch this closely...we are looking at building iOS and Android app's for our online store(s) soon. I was looking at project managing myself and utilizing design and prorgramming offshore.

I know someone who may be interested, he recently designed one of my ideas into an app. Uses a guy in Macau, the end result was pretty neat but it was fairly simple. PM if you want and I can see of he has the time or is interested for you.

The guys I have access to are in Romania as well! Wonder if there is a connection!
