well i went tonight and spotted:

I knew nothing about this movie. Didn't even know it existed till this thread popped up. I watched a trailer and thought "hmm...". But then read reviews and the whole 'proper' 3D thing got me hooked.

Wicked movie to anyone reading this who's 50/50 on going. It was an experience more than a movie because the setting is a world slightly different than our (year 2154 if i remember the video diary stamp correctly ) and couple that to the 3D part and it's like you're descovering a whole new world at the same time as the main character.

A solid 2 1/2 hours but never gets boring. I'll see this again at the movies!

I went and watched it last night at caro in Imax 3D. TBH i think all the build up to the movie has been a bit over the top, and made it quite difficult to live up too!

The movie storyline wasn't too bad, not really into the sci fi/fantasy stuff, but it did keep me entertained for the entire length.

The 3D, well not sure what to make of this! Firstly the glasses were so dam uncomfortable it wasn't funny. They really need to work out how to make them actually wearable, or preferably work out how to do 3D without them all together (dreaming i know).

The actual 3D in the movie was quite amazing, yet lacking at the same time.

It was great seeing everything 3D and feeling a more involved in the movie, but having watched Final Fantasy 4 in 3D a few weeks back where things came flying out of the screen at you, making you feel as if your in the actual room/vehicle/wherever with the characters, i just wasn't as impressed as i thought i would be..

i must admit that i was only dissapointed that the 3d wasnt as spectacular as ive seen in other movies like Beowulf etc. maybe he didnt want it to be a 3d fest.

To me the 3d was utilised mainly for depth of field and to immerse the audience in Pandora rather than chuck shit at you.

also would of been keen to see FF.

Spot on Wrexter. I think the actual quality of the 3D was very well done, but just not as WOW factor as FF4.

It was on at caro last month in 3D. Not sure about IMAX but?

That's what I read he was trying to achieve.
