I have a quick question, and before I get flamed, yes I have searched but could not find the answer.....

Will a unichip from an MY98 fit on an MY00. A lot of ECU state they are for MY99-MY00?????

What is everyones opinion on Unichip? I have been considdering one to be putting me on until I can afford a complete replacement ECU.

Current mods are:

3" TBE
Pod filter (not oiled) with cold air feed
Standard top mount with water spray
Stock TD04 but looking to upgrade to VF23 in near future
MBC (not fitted at the moment)
Walbro 500bhp fuel pump on the way

I have heard of issies with unichip, but if I get it tuned by someone who is good with Unichip products it shouldn't be a problem. Should it?????

either go autronic or power fc.

i had a unichip in my 03 rex and had no issies with it. and get someone who no's what there doing

If you can get the unichip second hand then they are good value. But if you are going to get a new unichip, you would be better off looking for a second hand Power FC without a hand controller.

I was looking at getting a Power FC, but the dude sold it. So Unichip for now and then maybe Autronic or something when the finances are back up to scratch...

I have a Unichip for sale.

It was taken out of my 99 STi.

Only mods at the time were FMIC, Air filter, Exhaust and running 18 PSI.

Unichip itself was ok on my MY00 but the boost module is...well shit. I used to get boost spikes of 2-3psi etc. Go power fc, worth the wait...hold off till someone's selling one again, get sean from asg to tune it = bob is your uncle.
