WTB: CGM Bootlid for '06
Looking for a CGM colour boot lid from standard 2006 rex so i can fit a new wing and keep my STi boot and wing for re-sale with car later down the track,
(P.s. im making the assumption that an 06 wrx boot will fit an 06STi) PM me thanks. NASTY

Nasty,
you prob find that all boot lids from bugeye (GD) onwards will fit. I guess finding the right colour is the problem. Try the usual wreckers, Ie JWS...

Why not just redrill for the new spoiler and have the holes filled when you plan to sell? Will look/be practically the same and about 1/3 of the cost.

My opinions is mod your car to how you want it to look, don't worry about reselling. Hell I took my spoiler off, sold it, getting the boot completely bogged and shaved coz thats how I want it to look. Fuck what the potential next owner wants, I have no intention to sell anyway.
But your idea makes sence, and if u can afford to keep the spare parts, then why not! Try finding a GX bootlid, maybe even new from subaru. Then just de-badge it and put STi badge on, and drill new holes for your new wing. Probably the easiest way. |

dunno if it'll be available yet but try SSS auto parts. They stock new and aftermaket body panels.

I rang Subaru.
$485 + gst for unpainted gx bootlid. That was for a bugeye. Even tho they are all the same same, I recon if u mention its for an 06 or current you will pay more. I have had cheaper quotes than that to get the repair work done to mine. |
