You can fit a 96 STi AIR TMIC. But you'll want to get the WRX air splitter and Scoop fitted. The RS scoop flows fuck all air and if you use it, you'll end up with an interheater not an intercooler. There are also aftermarket options if you can find them. I dont know of any companies that still make early Gc8 TMIC intercoolers though.

Personally, I would stick with the Water TMIC and just make sure the pump is serviced with new bearings. There is a how to guide on RSLC on how to make the water pump run full speed all the time. Im still running my Water cooler on my car and im doing around 160kw ATW.

Either that or just bite the bullet and go FMIC.

Cheers for the advice (mister two) have a top mount sorted, the rs scoop is being replaced with a 05 wrx scoop so the intercooler being a interheater shouldn't be a issue i think???

The 05 wrx scoop does look really good i sold my mate one for his liberty, and it doesn't look to over the top.
