What year is the gearbox, i know you're getting a matching diff with it, but i'm curious

Its not a bad price. I assume the price does not include a trade in of your old box

Nah it doesnt include a trade-in. My clutch still works aswell so i will be posting that soon (What price do you think?) just thought i would get it upgraded as the ratio of the gearbox is a little different however this is a massive learning curve for me. Well i told the mechanic Japanese wholesalers had them available and thats where he is getting it from. When i called them i said it was for my 99/My00 and they said they have some but the ratio was different.. Maybe its a different year but im under the impression its the same..

I'd ask them what ratio the new box is and what ks its done to be honest
Its good to know more about what you've paid good $ for and at the end of the day when you do need to either part with the car or the box due to whatever reason (or even repair work), you'll know the specs of the box and not appear silly not knowing what you've got

Second hand clutch is always easy to get rid off, but depends on how much is left on it, and not ks done
one can have 500ks on it but like to fry their clutch on launches

a new clutch kit from coventrys is $355.00 + gst . I purchased one last week

I have a V3 STI 5MT $1550.00 out of a JDM , & rear 4.44 diff will set you back around $400.00 .
