Mate been thru this exercise, here are the hex nuts:

I had some similar when I bought car & they rusted badly. I have just bought these as they are supposedly good quality:

What's the benefit to these? slightly lighter?

Wouldnt all mud and dirt get jammed in the end?

I have some of these McGard lug nuts, except a different colour, which i bought from the same place on ebay, I'm pretty happy with the quality.

Just make sure when you put these in not to use rattle guns on them.. We've seen quite a few where customers have taken to places that have raped them with guns, and they have split the sides of the nuts.

Always use a brace, and if you take it somewhere ask for a brace to be used.

Yeah I borrowed my son's wheels to put my Bug over the pits the other week & every fucking nut was warped on his STI, obviously they don't like rattle guns being so thin but the wheels won't take any other type of nut.

Yeah new rims do, specially speedy etc are generally quite good, they give you the proper nuts you need.
