hi

i am now chasing a 97 inlwt manifold for a wrx...

will it's going on a legacy but i need to sort out a sraight entry for a turbo change.

On this, is there any difference in the inlet manifold on a 97 - 98 WRX versus the STI manifold other than the red paint?

actually there is....

it comes down to the bolt pattern on the base and the positioning of a couple of vacuum holes. i haven't seen a 98 one but does it have the cold air valve on the opposite side too i think.

maybe ishould have read this properly.... the differences are from 97 - 98...

from WRX to STI is paint.

Bolt pattern doesn't change until MY99 Wazza.
