Reqd: Company to build a retaining wall.
Currently in the process of building a house and we are wanting quite a large retaining wall out the front in the same brickwork as the house (not limestone)
Can anyone recommend a company/bricklayer who does this and who can also submit required paperwork for council approval. Thanks Darren Last edited by PRODIGY; 27-01-2009 at 11:13 AM. |

Darren,
look at doing all the foundation work/under ground work in limestone, then the face / part of the wall you can see in brick, to reduce the cost. Otherwise, if its retaining a decent ammount of soil, it will be Uber expensive!!! Unfort. I can't help you with someone to do it.. :P so i will get outta this thread now |

You'll need engineering on making an underground pyramid for the wall if making it out of limestone blocks.
Alternatively there are other companies that have a wall attached to a big block. Still needs engineering for council approval. Because of that, best bet is to go through the yellow pages (unless someone here does it) to find a company that can do it all.

Have spoken to a couple of brickies and they have also recommended i speak to a structual engineer first. Apparently what i need is a 100mm cavity filled wall.

Aaron Trew of ABM landscaping can handle bigish jobs like you seem to have.
