Default wanted light bulb for dash switch

looking for a generic Subaru bulb
Subaru Part number: Switch Bulb (Green) 83426AA020
no luck with Shitty Subaru or Smellville they said I have to buy the whole switch they don't sell the bulb by itself

mate does the globe pull out of that holder ?

looks like it could be a wedge globe and you can replace globe and keep the holder

im pretty sure they dont. The wire from the globe wraps around to form the contacts

I think the bulb does pull out of the holder. the closest thing I could find is a Jaycar bulb but it's a little too big

If the globe comes out of the holder then it will be a easy to globe to find at repco or the likes. Im supprised it doesnt come out of holder though

Dick Smith sells tiny 12v bulbs that will fit but come wired up with leads/wires, they are about $1ea. you will need to strip the insulation, wrap the wires around the base, trim, maybe tin with solder to make th wires stiffer. its a bit of a pain but i have fixed a few like that.
