Hi I've got a good condition VF30 that would suit your needs.

VF30 is the same as a VF34, its just a sleeve bearing design instead of ball bearing.
Hits hard when it comes on with a proper tune.

Yeah i saw that turbo for sale too as I was chasing a VF34 too. Don't think the 35 is quite as good. Seems well priced though.

VF29 BB, PZ18 ex.h/46.7mm c.h/7b c.w/0.63 A/R - JDM WRX MY99-00 V5/V6 STi
VF34 BB, PZ18 ex.h/47.9mm c.h/6+6b c.w/0.63 A/R - JDM V7/V8 STi RA Spec C
VF35 TB, PZ15 ex.h/47.9mm c.h/9b c.w/0.51 A/R - OZ/UK MY02-05 STi
VF43 TB, PZ18 ex.h/47.9mm c.h/9b c.w/0.63 A/R - OZ/US MY06-07 STi

VF34 Ball Bearing = good off boost response,
VF35/43 Thrust or Sleeve Bearing = big kick when on full boost which some love in a Turbo car / poorer off boost response compared to VF34

VF34/43 PZ18 exhaust housing which is bigger than the PZ15 on the VF35 meaning VF34/43 has more KW up top.
This is at the expense of the VF34 being on full boost some 200-300RPM later than the VF35. VF43 some 200-300RPM after the VF34 due to sleeved bearings.

Thrust or Sleeve Bearing Turbos can usually handle greater boost and temps as their bearing designs are superior.
Rally teams use them for this reason as it equates to less broken turbos per season.

Everyone looks at full boost / RPM thresholds for their Turbo, when they should be deciding on what the want from their WRX.

On the Track driving mostly above 3000 RPM there is no real difference to be had from a BB VF29/34 compared to a TB VF30/39/43 - both will be on full boost almost equally. Turbo life for the BB's would likely be an issue in the long run.

On the street a VF35 would be a great responsive Turbo. An even better one would be a BB VF34 with a smaller machined PZ15 exhaust housing put on it. Sacrifice top end KW for low down torque.

I'm also still doing my research on the VF series turbos and trying to buy the best possible turbo for my STI engine.
