What do you guys/girls think about this 02 STI on carsales? He says that he's done a full 03 STI front and rear conversion.

Carsales

He's also willing to take $25k. I've got a few others in mind (incl Kym's) but anything that stands out here that I should be weary of? Whatever car I'm keen on forking out for I'll have checked over by RMS, MMS etc anyway but does this look good for a STI conversion or have non STI parts been used etc?

it always worrys me why some one would go to the trouble of putting a newer front end on??

i would be looking very closely at the chassis legs....

looks ok though and a nice price too

just make sure its not had a hard bang...........

I think that guy used to be a member on this forum.. Had a yellow GC8 before. Conversion is an idea, for those who really dont like the bugeye front end, but it grows on you. (i may be slightly biased)

mate it comes down to what you wanna spend? and what you want from your WRX/STI. If your interested in stereo gear my car has a full custom install in the rear, which would be going with the car (minus actual stereo equip.) or it can be ripped out and returned to stock. Best thing to do is drive the cars you are tossing up between, and see which you feel better in. Its hard to make any kind of decision without actually viewing/driving the cars yourself.

Seeing he posted this over 15 months ago i'd say he has most probably found something already.
