The most common thing with the 5 speed boxes for GC8 happen to me on the weekend. Second gear shat it self .

Im after a good working gearbox to suit Aus spec 97 wrx. if anyone got one there selling pm. or if anyone knows where to get one that would be greatly appriciated.

Would Jap wholesale have Aus ratio boxes? I thought most of them were 4.1 & 4.444.

yer all ready went there they only have the jap spec ones, got quote from banger, he said 1800 for the box and diff, but thats the last option i wont to do.

Yes, not sure if I want to get rid of it tho (99 WRX) as its pretty much been babied for 100, 000KM.

Still had the original pretty shagged clutch on it too before I put in a very short ratio DCCD RA box.
