WTB: 90's model WRX

Hey guys
im trying to hunt down my first car.
I'm a holden man through and through but they just arn't the greatest first car on my budget :P

Trying to chase down and 90's model WRX, needs to be in good condition. i don't want to have to spend much if any money on it.
Will pay up to $8000

Thanks :)

Regan check the for sale car section on this forum, there have been a few bargains on lately....

your dreaming. a car that cheap will not be in good running order...and there is no way you will be able to insure it.

save more coin or buy a corolla :p

Seriously though seeing as it is your first car wouldn't you prefer something reliable and that won't get you into trouble?

average km auto V6 VT's go for that much, they are fairly reliable, enough poke to have some fun with and are cheaper and easier to get parts for compared to a GC8 WRX.

way to beat down on me guys hahaa
instead how about suggestions for a different car then?
maybe r32 or 180sx?
anyone got a nice liberty that they want to offer me?

You'd get a fairly new Hyundai Getz or Honda Jazz for $8K.

88 KW is more than enough to beat an Evo 4 or R32 GT-R on the downhill run at Mt Akina.

;)

better recheck your numbers mate, as a holden is going to be a lot cheaper to service and maintain then a Subaru, and you'll be able to buy a lot more holden then Subaru given your budget ;)

Just look at an older GC8 like a 94/95 that should be in your price range.

Even an old Liberty RS will be fine and if something breaks just fix it,
dont worry about parts as there are shit loads out there. :D

For a DIY'er I'ed agree, but otherwise getting an older car and having to maintain a pre thrashed AWD drivetrain would be :sad10:
