your dreaming. a car that cheap will not be in good running order...and there is no way you will be able to insure it.

save more coin or buy a corolla

Here's your first car....in a few weeks.

Seriously though seeing as it is your first car wouldn't you prefer something reliable and that won't get you into trouble?

average km auto V6 VT's go for that much, they are fairly reliable, enough poke to have some fun with and are cheaper and easier to get parts for compared to a GC8 WRX.

You'd get a fairly new Hyundai Getz or Honda Jazz for $8K.

88 KW is more than enough to beat an Evo 4 or R32 GT-R on the downhill run at Mt Akina.

better recheck your numbers mate, as a holden is going to be a lot cheaper to service and maintain then a Subaru, and you'll be able to buy a lot more holden then Subaru given your budget

Here's your first car....in a few weeks.

Just look at an older GC8 like a 94/95 that should be in your price range.

Even an old Liberty RS will be fine and if something breaks just fix it,
dont worry about parts as there are shit loads out there.

For a DIY'er I'ed agree, but otherwise getting an older car and having to maintain a pre thrashed AWD drivetrain would be
