I kinda would like my rex running again sooner than that if possible so if anyone knows where I can get one of these (new) would be appreciative

Cost price on a short motor through a dealership is more than that, so i dont know what your talking about?
i also don't know what this has to do with anything? im offering to help him get one, and to negotiate a price.

Mate don't spoil it for others you never know when you will need a new short block if they can source them and supply to us there was a time after the last guy changed jobs no one was able to supply shortblocks for a while ...

and just for the record, any parts ive sourced for people off these forums, i havent made a cent from, its always been done through the dealership, which im sure the people ive helped will vouch for, if thats what you were implying , spanner

James, No not at all i used to have a freind that worked at osbourne park in parts, and about 5years ago now when i need a block he could have got me one at about that price.
