Default Wanted to Swap: My 06 STi water spray bottle for your Impreza twin pump washer bottle

Hi everyone,

I've got here in my possession an STi water spray bottle of the JDM variety. Holds about 4 litres if I'm correct. Its the type that sits on your firewall, like this.. It's in as new condition.

I would like to swap it for an Impreza twin pump washer bottle, as fitted to wagons. Condition needs to match the bottle. Looks like this:

Reason for swap: The bottle does not fit in that location on my car, due to my catch can setup.

It doesn't come with brackets, but from what I've seen on the net, the lower bracket is already built into the car, the 2nd mounting point is where the fuel filter bolts into, and the other 2 mounting brackets can be substituted with some simple aluminium flat bar brackets.

If you'd like to purchase it separately, make an offer.. I will accept cash to the value of what it would cost for me to source a twin pump washer bottle.

Cheers

you need 2 brackets to locate the bottom of that JDM bottle.

there is a cup type bracket that bolts on top of the chassis rail just rearward of where the crossmeber mounting bolts are.

and there is another bracket that bolts on and supports the clutch hydraulic line and the base of the bottle.

I have a boot mounted aus spec sti water spray bottle if you are interested Joe.

GC also have those dual pump tanks, I remember Lewis's old CS3 I bought had the I/C spray hooked up using this.

Have you called JWS just to see if that have any incase nobody here wants to swap?

Oh and yep the JDM bottle holds a tad over 4lts.

My 12L I/C tank just got here today so some time in the next few weeks I'll be selling the standard I/C bottle from my STI. Not to sure how it will go mounting into your bug as it mounts behind the rear right wheel in the boot. But if your interested let me know.

Wayne, That tank was not a standard part, I changed it as when I bought the car it had some povo tank setup which held less than 1L. Most GD's should have the larger tank but with just one pump, you can source this & fit in a 2nd pump Joe.

Agreed with Sethor, i have done this washer bottle mod by installing a 2nd pump in the blank space provided besides the original pump on the GD washer bottle.

Supercheap sell the pumps and rubber 'o' ring in the same dimensions as the washer bottle.

With a bit of a drill and filing out of the hole to insert the pump ,you can do away from buying a twin washer bottle and cheaper too.

Cheers .
Gary.

Any idea if your current tank will fit in my car Joe? I'll look into it and get back to you.
