Default '98 GC8 Wagon Looom

As per title, after a '98 GC8 Wagon interior loom.
The loom i've got is off a sedan, need the wiring for a wagon (for rear wiper etc) unless somebody has a link to the wiring, all diagrams i've come accross don't match to what i've got.

Thanks in advance .

hey dude, just a bit of info to help ya out.

the wagon is called a gf8 instead of gc8.

so your after a version 4 my98 gf8 wiring loom. (version 1-3 wont fit, same with version 5-6) from memory, with the earlier years (v1-3).. the plugs wont fit the electric doors, and with the late ones (v5-6) the plugs going into the main harness are different.

theres a few places you can try finding one if noone has one.

do a search on rexnet.com.au then put up a wanted ad.

also try these wreckers.

jason at all things subaru in qld

http://www.funonwheels.net/allthingssubaru/contact.htm

and jws in wangara

http://japanesewholesale.com.au/

if you cant seem to find a wagon one.. a sedan will fit. you just have to re wire up your rear wiper and washer bottle.

hope this helps ya mate.

ask yourself how often you're going to use your rear wiper versus the amount of effort to get it wired up

to do it properly you're going to need the main loom and the rear loom, front loom is same same sedan/hatch

Very often, ether reversing @ work when it's raing or when leaving home, usually reverse park to avoid this issue, however sometimes it's just a pain in the butt.

The main issue was that i did a conversion and the donor was a sedan, so the wiring was kinda wonky. i wanted to get it right.

Thanks for the detailed info; very helpful post. And thanks for the gc / gf pointer, whilst i somewhat knew this i got confused along the lines (new to the Subaru scene).

Wiring issue is getting sorted now, ended up pulling loom out of '98 wagon.
1/2 way through, just got to put all the interior back :|

Still on the to do list. Only been 3 years without a wiper... I have the rear loom from the foz I wrecked so I intend on stripping the wiper wiring from that and overlaying it on the sedan rear loom.
