hey i was just wondering if anyone knows where i can get a screamer pipe for my 2004 wrx with a tdo4 turboo ?

you need an external waste gate to go with a screamer pipe and why do want it with only a TD04?

had no idea sorry. recommend any external waste gates for a td04?

You dont need a external gate, there some dump pipes that have a screamer pipe attached, make sure you get a good quality one otherwise your internal gate hits and causes all sorts of drama.

you only need an external gate for high power/boost applications... and not really suited to subies with stock location turbos

those split dump screamers are shitty imo and they dont make it for subies unless its custom from exhaust shop

I've got a gate here for sale.. unfortunately its painted green and the latch has a little surface rust, but you can get it clean with some sandpaper.

Screamer pipes pull bulk bitches and with the TD04 you'll be hitting boost by the end of the driveway so even your mum will probably want some action.

jump on ebay and get an up pipe for your car with the external gate flange, buy the appropriate gate to suit, then take it to a shop and get it done

definitely a wasted on a small aplication though.......

I have a dump pipe with a divorced wastegate exit that was set to atmosphere. Its since been plumbed back in but could easily be converted back

Just remove your dump pipe, will net the same result without the hassle of custom fabrication. Will still scream when the gate is closed which is a bonus.

Nobody has a big enough budget to have ever hung a screamer off a TD04 as it is a costly excersise.

'gate on a TD04 is not as stupid as it sounds. External gates will actually adjust the ratios of your car and give you better fuel economy

i know you have to get a ETG and screamer pipe to make it scream nicely but does anyone else know maybe another way without spending all that money on ETG and screamer to make it scream ?

If someone offered it to me for free I would not bother putting a screamer pipe on a TDo4. Waste of money, would sound like shit and on top of that you will have to spend as much on a re-tune to suit. If you were talking TDo6 than yes go ahead and do it.

With a TD04 just drill a hole in the dump pipe, the only cost is your dignity.
