I'm in the process of collecting bits for my build. I'm after a V5 STI 99 ECU to suit the engine i have bought. Plz let me know what you have, condition etc and how much you are after for it. I'm not in a hurry to buy it.

Now, do you guys know if i will be able to run one? I was told that when installing a v6 sti ra in a v6 wrx, it won't start, and its because they have a trigger in the ecu which corresponds to the key barrel ..
Is that true? is it the same for the v5?

Yes... it will slow you down. STI ecu in V6 was speed limited to 180...
WRX's would simply pull away...

Hi, Would a JDM v5/6 STI RA ecu suit my loom? Is that too speed limited? and will it too need to swap the cam/crank sensor signal wires?
