I'll second BC coilovers, I've had their BR series in my car about 3 months now and love them, I also purchased mine from Just Jap, $1300 delivered to my door,fitted them myself, then just took it in to get a wheel alignment,

Spoke to the guy, last I heard he had them on hold for a buyer and was supposed to get back to me...he confirmed they would fit a Bug STI.

HSD coilovers from Balistic.?
they were $1350.00 and offer 16 damper levels (8/16 perfect for daily).
DIY install took me 4 hours and $88.00 at STechnic later it was done.

but overall $1000.00 is a little low for quality coilovers... plus you cant go wrong with new ones with a warrenty for the extra $$$.
