I can do what the wreckers yards do, get a paint pen and write 25,000km on the top of the engine instead of saying "I'm not sure but I'll gurantee it's good"

Alternatively, I did offer a complete, dressed 02 WRX engine that is still in the car (with low km) for slightly more dosh.

A 99/00 GC8 engine is not a direct fit in the 2002 WRX.

It's also illegal to install an engine that's older than the car.

I'd be looking at Doug's low km 2002 WRX motor.. an ej207 is great but will end up costing you 60-70 percent of your original purchase price.

What colour is your car?
I wonder if it's the white GD that was advertised here a while ago and then was traded on a V8.
