so i found these today.

03 197,000kms.
$15,000.
i have an 01 sti motor with under 100kms with all necessary parts ie turbo, fmic, straight cut box etc etc.


06 my07 sti
$25,000. 149,000kms. says he is in a rush to sell.


my05 sti cant remember details, will have them after 6pm. i think around $27,500 round the 100k mark.


03 sti $28,000. 64,000kms very well looked after.

also [06 STI] on this forum has 06sti $25,000 127,000kms. would like something with lower kms though.

thoughts and opinions appreciated. does anyone know of these cars personally?

lol @ almost 200,000kms. I know everyone says it's not the km's it's the condition of the car, but i would be avoiding.....

What km's are you after? And how soon are you looking at buying?

05 is an easy victory in that lot. That WR blue 03 has been for sale for AGES, since atleast October last year iirc

It's been for sale for ages because the seller doesn't return calls or emails.

My mate has been trying to view it for weeks, the seller is a nimrod

The only one in that list i would touch is the 05, but i remember reading on here that someone test drove it and there was something "off" about it....

That was me and here is what I wrote about the crystal grey 05 STi.

I'm pretty sure I went to see the same car you are looking at. Crystal grey with sunroof? If so then...

My comments on inspection;

- It has an ECUtek tune, not a Verso tune.
- The body is in OK condition, but it does need some TLC in my opinion. Front bar has some paint removed near the bonnet, I was suspicious of how this would have happened, you'll see what I mean if you have a look. Few dings here and there
- Rims have bad gutter rash, pretty much all of them
- Interior is below average. Front seat bolster is completely worn. I couldn't live with it - but I'm anal about my cars, might be OK for others.
- Sunroof is a great gimmick.
- He couldnt remember if it had an upgraded fuel pump or not. (A common upgrade when doing tune, zorst etc)

The guy is a great bloke, but you get the impression he is not a Subaru enthusiast.

On the test drive I felt it wasn't quite 'right' Call it gut feel, but it just didn't have the pull of a well sorted car, lag was hideous from a 'tuned' car. I would have expected better.

It may well be a good car, but my gut instinct said hold off and wait for another.

The guy is dead keen to offload it too, so if you really wanted it you may get it for a good price.
