Default Go pro camera

Hey guys,

After a cheap go pro to use with my rc models until the gopro 3 firmware issues are sorted out.

Let me know what you have - camera only is fine, it doesn't need the mounts, waterproof case or charger as I have these items from my old go pro.

Give me a text if I don't answer my phone, I'm at uni most of the day and work weekends - alternatively pm me on the site.

0404 420 494.

Cheers,

Jake

There's nothing wrong with the firmware now... :/

I'm still having freezing issues on occasion - not a big deal when it's just recording but when it's hooked up to a fpv model it sucks having no video...

Just a thought, are you using a decent class 10 card.
I tried a lower grade card and the footage would stop randomly. I suspect it was running out of cache.

I picked up a Sandisk Ultra card and it now works fine.

Yeah was going to suggest possibly looking into getting a decent card if you're having issues. Have you tried any other in it? A decent class 10 would be what you're after. My mate had a class 4 and it was playing up as well.

As Bob said. Also, there was a firmware update that pretty much came out at the same time as the 3 itself.

Running a SanDisk Ultra inside it but only an 8gb version, I have a new class 10 32gb version to test as well although my freezing issues even happen when not recording and just outputting video. Firmware is up to date according to the GoPro website - Maybe I just got a dud?

mine is fine. Make sure you are charging off an iphone charger. I found that using a USB slot on a computer would drain it faster than it would chaarge it. I charged mine using the computer and it was placing up and freezing, turns out it was flat but though it was charged. Use my iphone charger and i havent had any issues since.

Managed to track down the issue to a manufacturing fault / connector error - one of the retaining springs for the battery contact was loose causing all kinds of issues on the grounding pin... Took a while to work that one out!!

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! Please close thread.
