how easily available are those rear shafts, R180 inner to R160 outer, I have the 05sti R180 diff, STI RA short shifter and dog bone adapters to suit 2 pots or Brembo's.

r160 rears arent strong enough and shafts snap frequently.
No point doing half the job.
I agree with you. For the power I am chasing, r160 is not up to the task.

I already bought rear r180 800hp Driveshaft Shop driveshafts too! Might have to re-think what I do know....

Thanks

I would just try to get a 3.9 Lsd R160 diff, run some dog bone adaptor for the rear Brembo's.
I have now checked this, and yes you are correct, the rear setup in the Legacy/Liberty is different, i.e. a multi link setup but Ichiban has confirmed that r180 hubs will fit.

Maybe the hubs can be pressed in once its widened enough!

There is no way on earth r180 he s will fit.
Not a chance mate.
Rear hubs are 1 piece with the trailing arms.
Where as r180 hubs are bolted to a McPherson strut.
