J-STYLE Real CARBON FIBER GC & GD BONNET DAMPERS/STRUTS
 

Ok guys & gals it's taken me a little while but I'm really happy to now be able to supply these to the PERTH-WRX community with these J-STYLE Carbon Fibre bonnet struts/dampers on an ongoing basis, thanks to everyone who has already bought these and posted pics.

I have a few other goodies that are in the pipeline and they will be put up when everything is sorted
out.


These are brand new gas dampers and have custom machined brackets to fit the specific GC & GD models, however they may also fit Forestor's too but I need volunteers for test fits.

These will come with a *1 year Warranty and have been successfully tested by myself and Tino over the past year and we've never had a problem, they have even held open Tino's bonnet for months on end whilst the engine was out and are the exact same ones used in his FAST 4's pics.


All struts/dampers are filled with long lasting Nitrogen Gas and encased in real 3K Carbon Fibre and the arms are made from highest quality Stainless Steel that gives strength and is heat tested and treated to ensure they don't bend and keep there shape.

The installation is extremely simple and can be done with basic hand tools in under 30mins and I will volunteer to help install them if needed.

Not a problem Wayne - still can't believe that a premium product from Subaru like the Lib GT-B doesn't come with gas struts anyway :confused:

Ok, for members who live in the Rockingham to Mandurah region
I will be in the area tomorrow so if you are interested in a set this
is your best chance to save coming all the way to the big smoke
to get you CF fix. :D

You can use mine if you want to try a Gen 2 Liberty but I think a nutsert would be needed as the guards don't have the same hole pattern as an Impreza.

Cheers mate that would be most welcome, we will test the newer model Libs first then attempt to try all the other year models after that.

I have 2 different length strut/dampers to try so hopefully one of those will fit.

If none fit then I will talk to the factory about getting some Liberty specific ones made up but we'll see if they fit first. :thumbsup:

Well with an audacious use of angle grinding and arc welding we couldn't get the struts to fit :( LOL

Seriously though, turned out the upper interior lip section of the guard closest to the windscreen fouled the strut. We swapped direction with the gas strut and still failed to allow the bonnet to close.

I'd suggest a mirror ball to go with the lights ;)

Yeah it was a damn shame as it was looking so good but never mind hopefully
we can get some LIBERTY SPECIFIC ones made up in the future and you
will be supplied them at cost for all your help in test fitting them.

Once again a massive thanks to Andrew for volunteering to be the test
fit guinea pig. :thumbsup:

To top of the night I broke my ratchet and then when leaving I cracked my
CF front lip reversing out of a driveway.:o

All that aside I did another install to another members GD up prior to going
to Andrew's and they were very happy with them, I wont mention who yet
as it was done as a surprise gift for their partner. ;):D

As requested by a member I have added a pic of the struts installed,
I have put in the original post.

Ok Guys and Gal's I'm going to be in Leederville most of tomorrow
(Tuesday) from 10.30am for some damper/strut delivery meet ups
and some CHURRO's so if you want a set and you're in the area let

If you need installation it can be done as well as we have private
parking at the rear of the store. ;)

I'm doing a group meet/install tomorrow in Leederville between 12-1pm so

Just got the struts installed today, couldn't be happier with them :)

Will be getting pictures up tomorrow but the ones that got installed on Phils sti are awesome.
Sure beats myself being the bonnet strut or using the ol head to prop the bonnet open. (Damn him losing the metal bonnet-holder-upper-thingy)

They are a small and well priced addition to the function and
form of the any car and I'm really happy that everybody who
has purchased a set is very satisfied with them.

Yet another happy customer, lent my ratchet/socket set to the install of my own and PONCHA's set of struts as Wayne had destroyed his ratchet prior to meeting me...Wayne preferred to install on the spot himself to avoid any troubleshooting/damage problems which was much appreciated PLUS everything went smoothly bout 15mins install time total (=

It's been a slow start with the GC owners getting these but the GD
owners have nearly cleaned me out of stock which is good!!!

So come on GC owners "get your strut on" with some quality cf bonnet
struts/dampers. :D

I will also be looking at CF aerials and bases for the 08 WRX/STi's and EVO X's
soon plus a few other CF goodies. ;)

Definitely GC's get ur strut on!!! Silver has been totally underrated until now...only reason i took the darker set was to go with my CF Strut brace (STi dark CF strut brace) otherwise would have gone the silver set to match the silver car...

I've got 2sets of Black which are on hold for members so if for some

Also I've only got 5 sets in Black CF and 1 Silver CF left for GC models

*UPDATE, ALL GD ones have now been SOLD that includes the 3 that
will be delivered this week to those people who contacted me.

Restocking should be in 3weeks time but quicker if the remainder
of GC ones all go too.

So all those GC owners who have been contemplating getting a set
should get in quick whilst the special is still on, this current special
price of $85 for paid members and $100 for general members is valid
until the day of the Colin Memorial cruise.

Oh and I always do the installation free of charge if needed and it

Thanks so much Wayne, i popped the bonnet and stood there admiring for quite sometime today, i'm glad you recommended those ones :D

Met up with Tony at the airport today while he was waiting for his flight to S.A. Told him to pop the bonnet as there was a weird smell coming from somewhere....took him a minute to realise, he was still holding onto the bonnet going WTF why is it staying up..... (i also attached a little Happy Fathers day card to one of them)

Now......do these work on a foz too.....? :D
