Default Reverse lights got a problem??

Hi guys, i recently bought a 97 limited edition WRX, there's quite a few of the lights not working. Both front side lights, 1 fog light, 1 brake light, and the reverse light aren't working properly. Normally i'd think it was just the globes, but the car was in for a service a couple of days before hand, and i dont think this many globes could go this quickly? Still going to be checking in case.
Just wondering if anyone has any idea why my reverse lights arn't working when im sitting still in reverse, but once i start reving/moving they come on sometimes? Any idea's?
Cheers Scotty

Sounds like you might have a problem with the earth wire, take the inner boot trims off and have a look and see if its properly grounded 'this could also lead to fuses being blown.

Might also want to check your switches under the bonnet.

Check the connection in the boot behind each tail light. Check the fuses too.

The vibration from reving moving may allow partial connection??

Hmm, seems like it might have something to do with the gear stick, if i put it into reverse and put the stick to the left the lights come on, once i leave go they generally go back off. Any ideas? Thanks =/

im an auto sparky, check for power at the switch on the box first, then if there is power put it into reverse and see if the other side of the switch gets power. you can put power to the switch yourself and see if it brings the lights on, if this is the case the switch has had it.
