He and his son were sharing driving responsibilities on alternative stages, Press were a bit vague about who was behind the wheel when they went off. If it's the latter Vatanen it would seem talent doesn't run in the genes.

He wouldn't be a Vatanen if he didn't stick the car into some trees/rocks/snowbanks/ditches/hedges etc.......
