I know we often discuss one Subaru legend, Colin McRae, here often.

10 years ago today, Richard Burns clinched his WRC with Subaru at the rally of Great Britan.

He is England's first, and only world rally champion.

Tragically, illness took his life in 2005.

As I understand it, if he hadn't got sick, he was going to resign with Subaru.

That wasnt really a good thing. By 2003/4 Subaru were well and truly on the WRC decline.

When I was about 10 years old, my uncle brought a mate over to my house to go jet skiing. He signed my Subaru hat, but I wasn't sure why. My uncle told me that this man was named Richard, and was driving for Pergeot. Was only later after he left that I found out he was the Subaru legend Richard Burns. Wish I had known that earlier that day
