2014 Nurburgring 24-Hour Race

Thats pretty disappointing results in my opinion even in a 24 hour race... best lap of 9:10 puts it around ford focus rs times?

what's even more disappointing is that the evo 6/7 went around in i think it was 8:28

and the 2004 spec c sti sub 8:20's...

Keep in mind it is an endurance race including the gt circuit and active race track (read: heavy traffic).

The times you quote sound like time attack laps on a closed course.

Yeah i do realise that it was an endurance race and it wasn't ideal, but at 9 minutes a lap its still 160 laps in the same car on the same track under relatively same conditions to have the best lap time over 40 seconds slower than an equivalent spec car over 14 years older is still in my opinion not amazing.

I'm not saying its trash, but i wouldn't be too convinced it would be much quicker if at all, even under time attack situation

Was the spec c's time a race lap or time attack lap because I think the one lap time attack circuit is shorter than a full lap.

The 24 hour track includes the nurburgring gp track, would be over a minute added just in doing that. The production car laps are done with the gp track.

Fastest time on the go circuit is a 1.37 from a production 458. I think you can safely assume if you were to remove traffic and the gp circuit you'd probably lose 1-2 minutes.
