Blue one? Looks very much like one that belonged to a guy I used to know named Damien. He lived around bassendean.

Yes, that one is blue.
The one on the grass is a pale sky blue with a white roof, but the glare is terrible.

I was shopping around for a front cut and this came up on Pickles auctions while I was up on site:

Made a successful online bid after taking a punt on its condition.
Got a towie to drop it on my front lawn & it was there waiting for me when I flew back.
Looked better than I expected. Battery was dead, but jump started it & it ran great, took it for a lap around the block & found the top hose had been bitten by the alternator pulley when it had the shunt. Easy fix & runs great - even came with log books & a full service history!

A closer inspection showed the newly fitted MASSIVE turbo back exhaust had a leak on the downpipe flange so time for a good MLS gasket

The exhaust could only have been on the car for a matter of weeks. Professionally fitted with missing bolts & cable ties

Still not a fan of the huge cannon

The car was too good to part out straight away, so I've decided it will be a track hack for now. The main reason for today's cleanup is this Sunday's SES Sprint at Collie.

A thorough interior cleanout was needed, as the rats at the holding yard had started on the floor mats after they'd finished the macca's wrappers:

Hammered out the bonnet a bit & straightened the radiator support.
Came up alright:

When giving it a final check I noticed the towie had dislodged the sway bar link, so another little job to do.

Also fitted a Braille battery, fire extinguisher & set of rims with semi slicks so bring on the rain on Sunday!
nick73 and dnbosiris like this.

Winning bid was about $1,800 but closer to 2k when the fees are added.

Default Dak dak to dok dok

So after a successful practice session I may have reached the rev limiter in the first timed session resulting in a CEL, an awful noise from the left hand rocker cover and an early finish to the day.

As I'd driven it down on a permit, I borrowed a mates car and trailer to drop it at my place in Collie.
