Default New member intro: MY05 & s14a

Just a quick hello to everyone,

After owning the 200sx for just under 5 years, i decided it was time to move on to something a bit newer, comfortable, roomy and civilised. Looked around for a few weeks and ended up buying the first and only wrx i inspected.

It was meant to be. Saw it advertised, rang the owner up and he said it was sold. I found a few other low km examples but any other colour than white was a compromise. Fortunately for me, sale fell through and he had kept my number. Rest is history.

Very happy with it, not sure if it's quicker in a straight line than the nissan, but it definately is a better handling car and a pleasure to drive. Personally, the rexy doesn't look as good, mind you the s14 is not a great looking car stock either. It's also a lot more responsive. I must admit my favourite thing about the car is the cup holders. Im still coming to terms with having two extra doors and i keep winding down the rear windows instead of the fronts.

Don't plan on modding the wrx but we'll see how long that lasts. Only things i'll do to it is stereo and i might look at some sti 'pink' springs. What are the pink springs worth and can anyone recommend other decent (not kings) springs which will lower the car without compromising on handling?

Ive put some phone pics up of both cars
Also, the 200SX IS FOR SALE $13,500 ono

Thanks,
Alex.

Welcome Alex!! More white Subaru's to look at. I'm on my second white one myself, love them

To answer your question about springs, Whiteline lowering springs come highly regarded but bear in mind any lowered spring will wear out the standard shocks faster.

Are the whiteline flat outs a lower ride height than the STi Pinks? and $$ difference?

Alem: hello mate, being wet the last few days, it definately has been a step into the 'good side'.

6050: Chisholm isit? You can still see the car every morning, buy it! And you can drive it to school!

Smezo: i still don't know...! its so awkward walking past the s14 in the mornings to drive the rexy. It's like bumping into an ex gf when you're out with the Mrs.
