Finally managed to get some of Lanes time to tune the thing. Is way more fun now

The Blue run was with the AVO450s but before the Perrin headers and ceramic coating was done.

It did pull 242 kw atw on one run but trying to repeat it got a 238, 232 & 235 so we printed the 235 and thats what I'll claim for the thing.

If he brought it on quicker we ended up with to much heat by the top end and it fell over and could get more top end but was sacrificing to much at the bottom so had to compromise a bit.

Lanes opinion. Needs a bigger turbo

If it ain't raining on the 16th Sept will be all out to scrape into the 11's

That's a nice jump up in torque/power for just basically adding headers.

Are you still running stock intake(airbox) and injectors? I'm guessing by leaving them stock it would have made it a lot easier to tune(Not having to rescale the MAF sensor) and allowed them to be a bit more aggressive with the timing and fuel.

I would be interested to know what your injector duty is doing at about 6500, as AFR seems to rise a bit up top. But that could simply be how the tuner wanted it.

Nice one.

Wow thats a what? 35kw and 50nm torque increase from headers?

My Equal length headers go on soon, are you pleased with the sound it gives (you would obviously be happy with the power increase :P)?

No phizzle. Still have 12 points on license. Not sure for how long. Won't need the gixxer if I make the car any quicker Have to draw the line somewhere.

Lane did say right at the top end he was starting to run out of fuel. Wasn't sure if it was injectors or the fuel pump ( still stock injectors but Walbro fuel pump and I think he said it was 90% duty cycle right at the top )

It wasn't making anymore power over 6000 anyway cos the intake temps would jump if he kept the boost up so pulled a bit of boost and said is all sweet but not getting anymore without looking at fuel.

The thing has more mumbo in the next gear anyway so over 6000 will only ever get seen for the last 50 feet before braking for the next corner when it just ain't worth shifting.

I think the ceramic coating has helped a lot to ( Headers, uppipe, Exhaust housing and dump ) and yes it is still the stock airbox and standard crappy paper filter. Have asked Lane a couple of times what I should change it for and he keeps saying stick with the paper one.

Yes love the exhaust sound now. Was a good Subi burble before but now it just sounds so dam "RIGHT". Has toned it right down when pottering around so can low profile it a bit but get up it and "OH MY GOD" it sounds great. You won't regret it one bit sphoolin.

Dam I can't wait for a motorkana day
