Just curious.....Why are you wasting your money on a Profec B spec 2 when you already have a power FC with integral boost control & 4 user adjustable boost maps?

Do I? I can't see the apexi boost control solenoid. The car is running 12 psi now. I'm happy to use the onboard apexi boost control, how do u tell of you have the modual.

Rossco 25-09-2010 06:33 PM

There is no module unless your driving a skyline with a PFC.

The PFC uses the factory boost solenoid, Map sensor & wiring that the original ecu used to control boost.

There is nothing apexi under the hood..... And there doesn't need to be.

P.s Why is the boost so low?

I was in parts at classics.....

Ross, I was aware that you were in parts for a while.

Not sure why the boost is low I assumed it was wastegate pressure.
I'm the first to admit that I'm new to subarus, and will need some advise/help.
I was not aware that the STD boost solenoid will work with PFC. Thanks, I will no fit a boost controller as it's a double up.

Does my car still use a MAP sensor as it uses a Z32 AFM?

Ok, have done a few things since i took ownership last week

Firstly I had a 'granching' noise from pressing the clutch and less so when applying the brakes. Diagnosed by GAV, it turned out to be the TMIC rubbing on the clutch reservoir

P1010067

solution for now it i have packed the TMIC bracket up out of the way, i am looking for a offset clutch master cylinder (GD), PM if you have 1.

the brakes! god they were bad.

So starting with the rears.

who here has fitted a defl fuel pressure reg, how did you do it?

I have 1 on the nissan but that was with a sard fuel pressure reg.

jesstamic 28-09-2010 10:59 AM

I've got the Gd clutch mast cylinder if you're really needing it, but the guys at allstar just cut mine down to size so it clears so its alot simpler then removing the whole thing

The Map sensor on the WRX is only used for boost control and has little to do with fueling directly.

The AFM is used for fueling (load).
